Judges & Volunteers

We need at least 60 volunteers to help run the SEFNK event on Saturday February 25, 2012.

We need 10 to 12 people on Friday afternoon starting at 2 p.m. to assist in setting up Regents Hall for the event, setting out participant packets, numbering tables, hanging banners, and preparing registration information.

The rest will be needed during the day on Saturday, from as early as 7 a.m. to as late as 5 p.m. to assist in all phases of the Regional SEFNK event.  We need:

  • Registration Assistants
  • Runners to assist judges and relay information
  • Campus guides
  • Hosts and hostesses to inform guests and keep areas clean and secure
  • Tally clerks to enter student scores in a database
  • Assistants at the entertainment and awards programs
  • Clean-up crew

You needn't work the whole day, but we will need up to 30 people at any one time.  The only qualifications are a pleasant and helpful personality and a willingness to work.  We need high school students, college students, teachers, parents, etc.  Online volunteer registration should be available beginning December 30, 2011. Please check back then.

The pay is the satisfaction you'll get from helping students and parents from all over our region enjoy the day at our SEFNK event.

If you are a scientist, science or math teacher, or a college level science level science or mathematics student we ask you to register to judge at the fair.
